A letter to myself.
I just wanted to write you a letter, since I know that these past few months to especially this week isn’t really a ride in a park and let’s add that you’re quite a self-deprecating person if you wanted to.
Life is hard, it’s full of ups and downs, full of people who will drag you down, people that will make you feel like you’re worthless and unloved, and most of all they would make you feel like you can’t trust the world anymore.
Even if there are people like that, I want you to know that you can still trust them, not everyone will hurt you and not everyone will make you feel worthless or unloved.
You’re greatest enemy in the world is not the people who drag you down or make you feel unloved, I want you know that your enemy knows you, and knows what to hit and where it would hurt the most, for they’ve been with you for a long time.
Look into the mirror and you’ll see that YOU are you’re greatest enemy. “No One Can Make You Feel Inferior without Your Consent” I want you read it and live it, because I want you to realize that even if people make you feel less worthy than you are, I want you to know that they are wrong because you are worthy, worthy of being loved and cherished. Only you hold the power to making you feel bad and nobody else.
Do not fret, even if you are your self-deprecating self, I have always been here watching, hurting and feeling your pain, I’ve been with you since you were inside the womb floating in your own amniotic fluid (and pee).
Even if sometimes you forget about me and disregard what I thought to listen to those who bring you down. I want you to know its okay, and even if the whole world turns your back on you, I’ll always be here; I’ll always love you even if you forget that I do.
I’ve seen you when you’re down, and I’ve seen you stood up and I know that whatever challenges that come your way, it may knock you down, and you may fall to the lowest of the low but remember the phrase you said “When you hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up”.
So brace yourself, the future might be rocky but you can overcome it. I know you can.
From your greatest ally,
P.S Writing to yourself might be weird because lets face it, they say one of the first signs of insanity is talking to yourself but we haven’t really claimed that we’re sane, and sometimes we just need to hear some pep talk and sometimes its better to hear it from yourself. So smile .
